Trunk or Treat

By SERENA BROWN

The Angle of Death (Candice Fox) and a dead ventriloquist (Margaret Grubka) from the music club greeted visitors in the parking lot for the first Trunk or Treat event at NCC. The attendees could not have asked for a more perfect day.

The sun was shining and the leaves were glowing as Students and their families milled around decorated trunks and collected candy. Children and adults alike were donned in costume and Trunks were decorated with skeletons, ghost and ghouls There was pumpkin painting and the students clubs included the Asian club, the music club and students from the nursing program. The organizers created a safe atmosphere that was casual and relaxed. Organizer Kristina Testa-Buzzee said that treats offered by volunteers include healthy and peanut free options “We hope that it takes off and this is something we can continue in the years to come”. The tables were set up in a horseshoe and by the end of the Trunk or Treating path the candy bags were as fat as the pumpkins.
